I am a student in City College of New York’s Master of Architecture program, and my studio is currently doing a project involving the vacant lot on or near 33 East 1st St. I have had some trouble finding information about this lot prior to the rat infestation, and my project is focused on the origins of this site, namely, the type of building that was here, what that building looked like, and any overall site history, prior to the 1930′s demolition. As a result, I am inquiring to see if you happen to have any information as to where I might be able to find such information? Any leads you have uncovered, including links, books, etc., will be highly appreciated during this time!
