OUT FEAR. TAP IN.

An Installation on Beating Fear to the Punch

Friday the 13th of December, 6-9pm
First Park – 33 East 1st Street Manhattan

There are no saber-toothed tigers, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing we fear. Our ancestors’ fears protected them, triggering the life-saving reaction of flight or fight. Today this primal instinct remains in us and though it still protects us, fear can also hold us back. Join the TAPIN crew as we resist the urge to ignore or fight fear and instead warm up to it, name it and expose it – Let’s Out Fear together.

On Friday the 13th, in partnership with First Street Green, the TAPIN crew’s first public installation will expose some of the group’s biggest fears in a larger-than-life art installation. You are invited to simply observe or join us by sharing your biggest fear, either on site or through a live Twitter feed @wetapin #outfear. By naming what scares us most and sharing it out loud, we take the first step in facing our fears and tackling them before they get the best of us.

TAPIN seeks to make the world a more emotionally-connected place. The TAPIN community connects through interactive art installations that explore the broad spectrum of human emotions, one by one. We believe true freedom comes through exposing our most intense emotions and finding new power to remove the barriers around our dreams.
